Dorothy grew up with her two brothers and a sister on a small farm in Wyoming. Later, she moved to Michigan, married and had three children while living in suburban Detroit. For more than 50 years, she settled in Lighthouse Point, Florida.
Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. People knew her to be a warm and loving person who treated others with compassion and kindness. Anyone who got to know her, loved her, and could count on her to be funny and enjoy a good laugh. Throughout her life, she loved music and could be heard humming a tune nearly any time of day.
She is predeceased by her husband, Louis John Christie, and her daughter, Connie Marie Miller. She is survived by her son, Daniel John Christie, and daughter, Gail Ann Kolcz. She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren, 23 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
