She was born to Swiss immigrants in Elgin, Illinois on October 14, 1927. She raised a large family with her husband, Glenn, who predeceased her in 1992. She never remarried and remained focused on family, friends, and work. She and Glenn owned their own moving and storage company and she later worked as an ad salesperson for a local newspaper.
Alice continued to work well into her nineties with her own ironing business as she loved to keep busy and meet new people. She was a very independent person and loved to be around others. She enjoyed word search puzzles, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was tragically predeceased by three of her children, Tom, Joe, and Sharon.
She is survived by her children Terry, Pat, and Kay and grandchildren Craig and his wife Traci, Zack and his wife Kazue, Chris and his wife Angie, Myles, Toby, Rachael, Gretchen, Ryan, Joey and Mark and many more great grandchildren and family members too numerous to list. She will forever be remembered for her laugh, her undying love, and her friendship.
