Ron and I were so very sad to hear that Robert had passed away after his battle with cancer.  His sister Brenda is one of our closest and oldest friends.  His mom Marion and Brenda often visited our home when we lived in Florida during the winter season.  The last time we saw Robert he was passing through Boston on a business trip and stayed overnight at our home in Marblehead.  He had no trouble sleeping on the couch as we had a very small place.  The next morning we drove into Boston and had breakfast at the Parker House Hotel famous for its Parker House rolls and wonderful coffee. We are sure Robert will  be truly missed by all who knew him as the great guy he was, the perfect gentleman with a funny sense of humor.  This little phrase from a famous poem is appropriate we think.

"The woods are lovely dark and deep
 But you had promises to keep
 And miles to go
 Before you sleep"


Sleep now Robert.

To the entire family my deepest sympathy on the loss of Bob. I met Bob over 20 years ago on the transition of ownership of a company in London Ontario. It was the most fun place I have ever worked. We had great success doing business in a positive working environment that respected the employees, customers ad suppliers. The management team was a group that came together, and we were kindred spirits, all marching to the beat of a different drummer. As you can imagine Bob fit right in. So for the last 20 years Bob and I (plus some of the same team of 20 years ago) had a business relationship that extended to a long friendship. Right up to the present, Bob has coordinated materials and equipment from China for me. I will miss Bob’s enthusiasm, knowledge, and wisdom. But most of I will just miss Bob.

Bob is bright, cheerful and a little stubborn, but he is also a wise man. This is the picture of Bob's birthday in Guangzhou. I also made fun of him for celebrating his birthday on April Fool's Day. Then I lit the candle and said to Bob with a smile, "Fool make a wish."
May he rest in peace and thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Marcel and I want to express our sincere condolences on the loss of your Dad.  He was a very unique individual, original, smart, determined, cocky, always marching to the beat of his own drum, never one to conform to the mundane.  He had very high standards for himself and for those around him, driving people to challenge themselves constantly and becoming better in the long run.  We had a lot of good times together, shared lots of meals, parties, activities, and many, many bottles of wine.  
He was a very special person, driven, intense, mischievous, full of ideas, always ready for an adventure, with a great sense of humor.  He will be missed.

I was privileged in discovering Bob’s kind, caring, challenged and beautiful personality during our many long talks over the last decades.  Steadfast in holding on to hopes and dreams; Unwavering pride coloured his world but he never ceased to express that, above all else, his greatest and yet most humbling was his beautiful, accomplished children. Wearing his heart on his sleeve, Bob showed himself to be a faithful friend. Already he is greatly missed.

It was so very lovely and heartwarming to see cousin Robert (behind me in peach shirt) at my mom's celebration of life in September 2021. I always remember him as warm and kind.  May he rest now.🙏🏾Comfort & prayers to the family.💕

Please accept my condolences on your loss. Bob and I knew each other for roughly thirty years and shared many journeys together. I will always treasure the adventures we shared skiing, diving and going to see live acts from the ‘60’s. I will miss his counsel and friendship.
