It is with great sadness that Norah's family announces her passing away at the age of 97, at the Montreal Neurological Institute. Norah is predeceased by her husband Jack, parents Alice and Archibald White, brothers Ernest, Jack, Stanley, Fred, sisters Gladys and Phyllis.
She will be greatly missed by her children Peter (Dyann) Toronto, Ross (Sasha) Bedford, N.S, granddaughter Katie Kananaskis, Alberta, step granddaughter Ksenia Waverley, N.S and numerous nieces and nephews, adoring all and giving her great joy.
Born in Winnipeg, Norah graduated from the Women's Business College prior to moving to Hamilton (1945), marrying Dad and starting her family. In 1959, Mom and Dad moved to Baie D'Urfé living on the West Island for over 58 years. Norah had a wide circle of friends and volunteered for more than 20 years at the Victoria Order of Nurses and the Lakeshore General Hospital. Over the years Norah enjoyed curling, lawn bowling, reading and her favorite past time, Bridge at least 3 times a week at the L'Aristocrate.
The family is very grateful for the wonderful care she received at the Montreal Neurological Institute and the Residence Maxwell Baie D'Urfé, Quebec, where she resided for the past 3 years. Special thanks to Francie, Jason, Jessica, Ben and best friends Lucille and Renee for all their love and support over the years.
Cremation has taken place and Mom has joined Dad in the Field of Honour, Pointe-Claire. Donations can be made to the Last Post Fund or a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made through this website.
