Originally from Toronto, Jim is a graduate of The University of Toronto and Sir George Williams University.
He enjoyed a long career as an Air Canada captain and flew many types from early piston props to the modern heavy jets of today.
He leaves behind his loving wife of over 65 years Priscilla née Wyatt, his children Jim (Janet), Tom (Brenda) and Mary (Chris). His grandchildren Pat, Shannon, Matthew, Emma, Christina, Emily and Sarah. Great grandfather to Paisley, Madison, Wyatt, Jake and Kyle.
