Grant J Gehlsen

Dear husband of Marianne, father of Anne (Ken), Grant (Kathy), Elizabeth (Jeffrey), Guy (deceased), and Christina, half brother to Wally.

Stepfather to Michael Cunningham, Robert Cunningham and Kathy Cunningham-Gehlsen. Grandfather of Gerald, Christie, Jessica, Christopher and Cassandra Gehlsen. Great-Grandfather to Ella, Chloe, Henry, and Eowyn.

He was born in Toronto and completed college with an associate degree in engineering, After joining the RCAF he attained the rank of Flying Officer and was attached to fighter squadron 401 (City of Westmount). He joined Trans Canada Airlines, later known as Air Canada, as a pilot and Captain there for some years.

President of several companies, including West Island Realties Inc, with which he was active in real estate administration.

Among his many interests were Christian Education and several medical groups he actively supported. He was Knight Commander and Grand Officer of Merit of the Military and Hospitaller Order of St. Lazarus of Jerusalem and life member of the Manorial Society of Great Britain, the St. Andrews Society and St. Peterburg College Alumni.

A service will be held at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Homes, 222 autoroute 20, Pointe-Claire, Quebec, H9S3X6 on Saturday May 4, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be in the family plot at Lakeview Memorial Gardens on Monday April 6, 2019 at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation, or to your choice of charity.
