At the Suroit Regional Hospital, Valleyfield, QC in her 77th year. Tina’s beautiful soul slipped away peacefully in the early morning hours of Monday, May 22, 2023.
Tina was born in Montreal, QC, September 27, 1945. Her loving parents were the late David and Christina Stoddart Norris (nee Pounden).
Missed terribly by her devoted husband, Daniel DeVouge. They would have celebrated their 50th anniversary this summer.
Beloved mother of Debbie (Colin), Shannon (Brent) and Jesse.
Cherished and adored Nana to her grandchildren who were the light of her life, Leathan (Kelsey), Graeme, Dylan, Sydney, Emerson and Townsend.
She loved to travel. In her early 20s she traveled to London and Paris and hitchhiked through the US to Mexico. In her 60s she traveled to Romania, and returned to England where she visited the town of Honiton where her paternal great-grandfather Benjamin most likely grew up.
She loved to spend her Saturdays at Finnegan’s Flea Market, and at yard sales, adding to her growing collection of costume jewelry. She had a flair for combining African art, giraffes, antique furniture and tools, paintings and prints, and family photos together throughout our home.
Special thanks to the medical staff at Hawkesbury Hospital and Hopital Suroit in Valleyfield for providing care to Tina during her short and unexpected illness.
Heartfelt thanks to caregivers Sheri, Debbi, Nora and Sharon who we welcomed into our home. They offered companionship to Tina and assisted with her care the last two years. She formed a special bond with each of them and we are grateful for their friendship. And to the new friends she made at the NOVA Hudson Adult Day Centre.
While her Alzheimer’s diagnosis may have affected her memory and independence, she did not lose her independent spirit, nor did it diminish her recognition of those she loved and knew. A perfect past time for her would have been a greeter at events. She loved to walk up to people, especially good looking men, tap them on the arm and smile.
Danny was the love of her life. He knew at a young age that she was the one for him. He was her anchor during moments of her uncertainty these past couple of years and fulfilled his promise to always take care of her. Long drives with her favourite tunes were part of their weekend adventures. He indulged & encouraged her crushes for Jon Bon Jovi and Roger Waters. Her last concert was Roger Waters in the summer of 2022.
Family and friends are invited to come celebrate Tina’s life Saturday, June 3rd from 2PM to 9PM, at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 222 Autoroute 20, Pointe-Claire, QC H9S 3X6. A light buffet will be served from 5PM.

They walk beside us every day
Unseen, unheard, but always near
Still loved, still missed
And very dear”
