William L. Thornton, age 90, passed away on May 17, 2013 in Plant City. He was born in Hazlehurst, GA on February 25, 1923 to Arthur and Ruth (Thompson) Thornton. He married Pearl Virginia (Singletary), who is deceased. He was a Veteran of the US Marine Corp.
William is survived by one son, William A. Thornton; two daughters, Joann McHenry (Doug), Margaret Creel (Jim); two brothers, Gene Thornton (Jeanette), Herb Thornton (Claudia); six grandchildren, twelve great, and eight great-great.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday May 22, 2013 11:00 am at Wells Memorial & Event Center. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
