Ruth Elizabeth Geers

GEERS, Ruth Elizabeth (Sterrett), age 94, of Valrico, FL passed away on July 26, 2018. Ruth was born on August 7, 1923 in Cincinnati, OH to Will Wise Sterrett and Ruth Hoffman Sterrett. She worked as a Complaints Supervisor for Jim Walter Corp./Celotex. Ruth enjoyed painting, sewing and baking. She was also a gifted artist and a very generous soul.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Willet Geers; son, Howard William Geers; brothers, William, Robert and Frank Sterrett; sisters, Helen Kusel and Dorothy Klemann. Family who survive are son, William Philip Geers (Beth); daughters, Georgeann Ruth Peters (George), Suzanne Elizabeth Gunn (Bryan); three grandchildren, Andrew W. Geers (Alisa), Zoe A. (nee Peters) Krebs (Jacob); and Sarah E. Gunn.
