Ruth Decker Armstrong, age 93, of Plant City, Florida went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 5, 2019. Ruth was born September 21, 1925 in Covington, Kentucky. She moved to Florida in 1952 and worked as a reading aid for the Polk County Schools.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clifford W. Decker and Charles Armstrong, and her son, Ronald W. Decker Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Decker Lester (Jim), five grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was very dedicated to her church and to her family. She loved it whenever her family could get together.
A visitation for Ruth will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Wells Memorial Funeral Home in Plant City. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 11:00 am at Wells Memorial. Interment will follow at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, Florida.
