WHALEY SR., Robert Earl, age 80, of Plant City, FL passed away in Alabama on January 10, 2016. He was a US Army Veteran and a member of the local Plant City Moose Lodge. Robert retired as a Highway Maintenance Tech. Supervisor/Coordinator for the Department of Transportation.
He was also the youngest of 11 children, who have all preceded him in death, along with his parents. Family who survive are sons, Robert E. Whaley Jr. (Dianne) of Plant City, FL and James W. Whaley of Seffner, FL; daughters, Virginia West (Gary) of Henagar, AL and Sherry Lynn Whaley of Plant City, FL; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be on Friday, January 15, 2016, 11am-1pm at Wells Memorial Funeral Home in Plant City, FL. Military honors will be at 12pm at the funeral home and there will be a private burial at Memorial Park Cemetery in Plant City, FL. In lieu of flowers, you may donate in Robert's memory to the American Alzheimer's Association.
