Raymond “Ray” was a devoted family man who never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Perry Daughtry Sr. and his mother Linda Faye Daughtry. He is survived by his wife, Krysta McCoy Daughtry; son Zak Daughtry, daughter and son-in-law, Courtney Drawdy (William), son Raymond Perry Daughtry III (RayRay); two grandchildren Milana Moon and Stella Faye; one sister Julie Crowther (Chris); as well as a wide circle of cherished family and friends including his FedEx team.
Ray was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord, his family, friends, life and food. He never met a stranger and willingly shared himself with others. Regardless of the name you knew him by Raymond, Ray, Baby, Love, Dad, Brother, Pisswilly, Big Daddy, or Big Papa; if you needed him he was there. Some of his favorite simple pleasures were his nightly spoon of peanut butter with milk, ketchup on a steak, practical jokes, and teasing anyone who doesn’t love The Florida Gators.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021 followed by the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at Countryside Baptist Church where he was a member.
