Philip was a veteran of the United States Army. He spent his young life helping his father in the agriculture industry. Later, became an over-the-road truck driver. He was an avid storyteller and loved to share stories of his adventures while traveling the country.
Philip is survived by his daughters: Rebecca Skinner (Hank), Mary Katherine Hogan, Rachel Hogan, Laura Janell Strang, and his Son-in-Law John Strang. Eight Grand Children: Katlyn, Matthew, Cecilia, Lindsay, Luke, Jasmine, Jocelyn, and Jacob Tyler. He is also survived by his sister Jo Beardsley (Wayne) and sister in law Macy Gilley (Thomas), and brother-in-law Cecil Garner.
He is predeceased by his parents Joseph Tyler Hogan and Laura Katharine Rousseau Hogan, wife LaJuana Garner Hogan and sister Annie Laurie Brantley, brother-in-law John Brantley and Sister in Law Barbara Garner.
A visitation will take place on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Ahava Baptist Church, 6015 Farkas Road, Plant City, Florida 33567 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Mr. Hogan will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery.
