BARFIELD, Leonard M. “Pete”, age 76, passed away on June 30, 2018. Pete was born on July 1, 1941 and was one day shy of his 77th birthday when he passed. He was born in Meigs, Georgia to Coy P. and Juanita (Hall) Barfield.
Pete worked as a long time crane operator, and a member of Woodmen Life. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Wayne Barfield. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Faye Barfield; one son, Leonard "Butch" Barfield (Christine); a daughter, JaQuetta Frese (John); one brother, Preston Barfield (Phyllis); three sisters, Helen Permenter, LeJuan Hill (Edward), and Sharon Ginn (Lacy).
A funeral service for Pete will be on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 2 PM at the First Thonotosassa Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be at Wells Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6 – 8 PM.
Memorials may be made in his honor to Sun City Center Hospice.
