On January 2, 2019 Mary Edna Raulerson went to join her beloved husband, Earl Raulerson. She went peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was born on June 4, 1930, the oldest daughter of John Edwin Carlson and Ida Gertrude Nestle Carlson, both deceased, in Plant City, Florida. Edna then spent most of her life in Plant City, Cork and Dover. In 1946 she married Earl Raulerson and in 1949 they moved to a farm they purchased in Dover where they raised their two daughters. In the mid-50’s Edna went to work at Brown’s Floral Shop where she got to know most of the residents of Plant City and the surrounding area.
When Earl died in 2008 she tried to keep the farm but eventually had to move to Talladega, Alabama to live with her youngest daughter, Jane. In 2015 she sold the farm. She is survived by her daughters, Jane Raulerson, Lucy Raulerson Williams and son in law, Bill Williams; granddaughter, Khrysti Williams Richards and her husband, Michael Richards; great grandsons, William and Alex Richards; sisters, Muriel Danley of AL, Mary Whitehead of Lakeland and Martha Rogers of Brandon and their families.
A private memorial service was held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Arrangements were furnished by Wells Memorial in Plant City.
