Mary Paton

Mary was the loving, devoted mother of two sons. She is survived by John M Paton (Laura), and Robert Paton. Mary is survived by her granddaughters, Meilyn and Lianna Paton who lovingly knew her as their Nana Mary. Mary is also survived by three adult grandchildren, Kyle, Kelly, and Ross. Mary was an amazing grandmother and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.

Mary was a Tampa native who also spent time living in New York, New Jersey, and Missouri. She and her husband, John, were longtime dedicated members of Nativity Catholic Church in Brandon and were blessed with a wonderful church family. Mary was highly active in many Church clubs and volunteered in the Nativity Food Pantry.

Mary had a special place in her heart for animals and felt a close connection to St. Francis of Assisi. During her life, Mary had many faithful dog companions and treated them as family.

In her later years, Mary especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. After the adoptions of her granddaughters, Mary spent many vacations with the girls creating lasting memories.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 5th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Nativity Catholic Church, 705 E. Brandon Blvd., Brandon, FL 33511 with Interment to follow at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that contributions be made in memory of Mary to Nativity Food Pantry or the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
