He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Alma; his loving wife, Betty Jean; daughter, Joyce Denice Leverett; and his siblings; Winnie Mae Reeves, Robert Leverett, Edward Leverett, and L.C. Leverett.

He is survived by his son; Jerry Lewis Leverett and wife, Martha; daughter; Lola Leverett Windsor and husband, Mike; siblings; Mary Lockard, Calmer Callaway and Ray Leverett, granddaughters; Kellie Leverett Glasgow and Michelle Leverett; great grandchildren; Zachary Cashman, Billy Glasgow and Mae Mae Glasgow;

A visitation for Lewis will be held Friday, March 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Wells Memorial and Event Center, 1903 West Reynolds Street, Plant City, Florida 33563, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place at Seffner Cemetery, Seffner, Florida immediately following the funeral service.
