FARMER, Laura Jean, age 89, passed away on March 9, 2014 in Sebring, FL. She was born in Lawrenceburg, TN on Sept. 20, 1924 to Alfred and Lura (New) Adair. Laura Jean known as "Jean" to most, moved to Bradley Junction, FL with her family from Lawrenceburg, TN. The family settled in Plant City. She graduated from Plant City High School in 1944 and has been a member of the First Baptist Church for 73 years.
She married Maxwell Farmer, Jr. October 17, 1948 at the First Baptist Church in Plant City. They both served in the church, and in their community. Maxwell passed away in 2004. Jean was the back bone of the family. We remember holidays at her home were truly special.
Jean Farmer is survived by nephews John Lamar Fleming of Sebring, FL, Andrew Paul Fleming of Cedar Key, FL, niece Sara Melinda Dean of Sebring, and 7 great nephews and nieces and 10 great-great nephews and nieces. Private services were held with her family.
