Jean T Hackley

Jean was born on June 8, 1944 in Miami, Florida where her father Francis Tatro was stationed in the military. She, her father, and mother-Marion Bailey, then moved to Milton, Massachusetts where she grew up with her three brothers-Robert, Douglas, and Brian Tatro.

She graduated Milton High School and became a registered nurse in 1966 at Quincy City Hospital. She married Herbert Frederick Hackley and they had one child, Deborah. She then decided to teach flute and piano lessons in her home and never stopped.

For more than 50 years, Jean taught music including the last 25 years at Music Showcase in Brandon, Florida.

Jean loved music. Teaching it to children and adults and also playing her flute or piano at church and being the children’s choir director at Parkway United Methodist Church in Milton. She also enjoyed reading, needlepoint, eating ice cream, and playing games.

A Celebration of Life service and reception will be held at 2pm on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Saint Andrews United Methodist Church on Bryan Road in Brandon.
