Ernestine M. DeShong

Plant City - DeShong, Ernestine M., age 85, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2012. She was born August 23, 1926 to William Ernest and Cora Martin and was a lifelong resident of Plant City, FL. She worked for many years, and then retired, from The Hillsborough Bank. She was preceded in death by her husband R.C. Jack DeShong.

Survivors include one son, Timothy J. DeShong (Sarah Lou), two daughters, Sally D. Watkins (James), and Suzanne K. Sullivan (John L.); four grandchildren, Sean Watkins, Stephanie Watkins, Nicole Bergert, and Lela Nicole Catt; eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Her gentle spirit and kind heart will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation for Mrs. DeShong will be on Sunday May 20, 2012 from 2 - 4 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Plant City. Private graveside services will be held on Monday May 21, 2012 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
