BAILEY, Elizabeth Stover, age 86, passed through the pearly gates of heaven to join her husband Hulan on October 6, 2015. Elizabeth was a 5th generation Florida native, the daughter of Herman Marshall Stover and Frances Fannie Gore. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Hulan Robert Bailey, her brother Hermann Marshall Stover, Jr., and sister Doris Francis Stover Brown Smith. Elizabeth was a faithful Baptist, loving wife and mother, and caring friend and neighbor. She leaves a legacy of love in her sons and daughter: Randy (Barbara), David (Kathy), Steve (Lisa), Bruce, and Denise (AJ, her favorite son-in-law). As her family grew she enjoyed her 12 grandchildren and her many great grandchildren.
Elizabeth’s artistic nature allowed her to enjoy flower arranging, ceramics, interior decorating, and having a beautiful yard with many roses, flowers and plants. Her greatest joys included shopping with her daughter Denise, and her daughters-in-law. She enjoyed baking desserts, and her pecan pies were famous with her boys. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Plant City and a longtime member of Westside Baptist. A funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, October 9, 2015 at Wells Memorial and Event Center with visitation one hour prior to service.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to leave a remembrance may donate to Good Shepherd Hospice of Polk County at 813-682-0027.
