Dottie Elizabeth Rogers

ROGERS, Dottie Elizabeth, age 79, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2014. She was born in Tampa, FL and was a lifelong resident of the Tampa Bay area. She was a homemaker and member of Sydney Baptist Church. Dottie was preceded in death by her husband Reynolds James “R.J.” Rogers and her sister Lola Mae Mulder.

Survivors include one son, Marshal Rogers (Tonya) of Plant City; two daughters: Candy Barr (Jeffrey) of Charleston, SC, and Annette Talley (Kenny) of Plant City. She was Mema to five grandchildren: Jeremy Barr (Nancy), Erin Rodriguez (Christopher), Lisa DeLong (Earl), Amber Lovelace (Paul), Troy “T.J.” ; five great grandchildren; Mackenzie Elizabeth and Makayla Jordan Watson, Ryan Daniel Barr, Emily Elizabeth Rogers, and Adalynn Faith Rodriguez.

Visitation with family and friends will be Monday, February 24, 2014 6pm to 8pm at Wells Memorial and Event Center with a funeral service at 10am on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Wells Memorial with Pastor John Garbreana officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Memorial Gardens. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital, or Shriners.
