Barry Baker

Barry was born on November 19th, 1955 in Plant City, FL to Robert and Ann (O’Neal) Baker. On October 10th, 1975, he married Kathryn (Kathy) Willis. Together they raised two children, Shannon and Eric. He was Grandbarry to Ziva Willis.

Barry had a strong faith in God and spent much time volunteering at his church and in his community. Some of his favorite pastimes included gardening, bird watching, and travel. He especially looked forward to trips to the mountains where he would hike, visit with his children, and walk the lakes each day with Kathy and their dog, Holly. He loved spending time outside with Ziva and taking her on wagon rides. He enjoyed a 35-year career with Publix Super Markets after attending college for 2 years.

Barry was preceded in death by his father, Robert, his mother Ann, his sister, Kathy Fawcett and his Mother-In-Law, Martha Willis. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathy, his two children, Shannon and Eric, his brothers Bobby and Timothy Baker, his Father-In -Law, Carroll Willis, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 27th, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church in Plant City, FL at 11:00am.
