He was born on November 5, 1933 in Apalachicola, Florida to Stanley Franklin and Willie Zeigler White.
Zeigler graduated from St. Emma Military Academy in Powhatan, Virginia. He attended college at Catholic University of America in Washington, D. C., where he met the love of his life, Yvonne Winston. They married after graduation in 1956. He served his country in the United States Air Force as First Lieutenant. He was a tactical fighter pilot and flew the FW-009 and F-100 Fighter Jets. After honorable discharge from the Air Force he worked fifteen years as an Aeronautical Engineer for North American Aviation.
In 1975 he graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College, and begin his twenty-year private practice. After retirement he raised turkeys for Pilrgim’s Pride.
Zeigler is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He was initiated into the Lambda Omicron Graduate Chapter, Los Angeles, California, in spring 1979.
His interests included family, fishing, music, travel, community service and gardening. He enjoyed playing cards, telling jokes and stories with his brother and sisters.
Zeigler is preceded in death by his father, Stanley Franklin White, his mother, Willie Zeigler White, and his sisters Evangeline Tolliver and Laura Trimmings.
Zeigler is survived by Yvonne, his wife of 65 years; his brother Stanley Z. White; his five children and their spouses, Zeigler O’Neal White, II, Yolanda Lane (Rick), Laura Morgan (Wayne), Denise Boyd (Tyrone), and Dianne White; 7 grandchildren (Bruce, Jaron, Brittany, Kia, Shomari, Marshall, and Rachel), 3 great grandchildren (Nikko, Yardley, and Niyah).
There will be a private family service held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the Ted Dickey Funeral Home.
Any floral deliveries may be made no later than Saturday, December 10th at 12:00 Noon.
