Rebecca "Beckey" Moffett

Beckey was born in Texarkana, Arkansas to Jerry and Woody Lucy.

She retired from the Plano ISD on May 31st of this year after serving the children in the PISD for 34 years.

Beckey graduated from Stephen F Austin University in 1975. She went on to obtain her Masters in Special Education from Texas A&M Commerce. She ended her career at Christie Elementary as a Literacy Specialist where she cherished the children that she worked with everyday.

Married to Randy Moffett in 1977 they have two daughters, Kathryn of Houston and Lauren of Frisco. Her family was her life and an unending source of both pride and joy.

Beckey was a 12 year breast cancer survivor and faced adversity with grace and determination.

Beckey will be remembered in a Celebration Memorial at The Reformed Church in Plano on Friday June 11th at 10:00. The family asks that donations be made to The Hendrick Scholarship Fund. www.hendrickscholarship.org/html/AboutUs.htm
