Pearl Hill, age 88, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories. Pearl was born on October 28, 1936, in Tulsa Oklahoma and lived most of her life in Plano, Tx. She married her husband, James, on April 16th 1955 and lived in numerous places during his military career, until they moved to Plano, Texas. She worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield and Electronic Data Systems. Her passions in life were simple yet brought her immense joy. She loved nothing more than spending hours working on puzzles and playing board games with family.
She is survived by her sister Lois Walker, two loving sons, Rick Hill and his wife Deb, and Terry Hill and his wife Sue. Her grandchildren, Jami, Jimmy, and Kristina, were the apples of her eye, and she was proud of the people they became. Pearl's greatest delight in her later years was great-grandchildren, Skylar, Dereq and Katie, who brought immense joy and happiness to her life. Preceded in death by her husband, James Irwin Hill of 56 years and her parents Chester and Nancy Pattie, and brother Kenneth Pattie.
The family will deeply miss Pearl's warm smile, her generous spirit, and her unwavering love. As they grieve her loss, they take comfort in the memories they shared with her and the lessons she taught them about the importance of family, love, and living life to the fullest.
Rest in peace, Pearl Hill. Your love and legacy will never be forgotten.
A visitation for family and friends to will be held on Thursday, April 17, from 10am to 12pm at the Ted Dickey Funeral located in Plano, TX.
Pearl’s final resting place will be with her husband, James Hill, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, TX. The committal service will take place immediately following the visitation at 1:30pm on Thursday, April 17..
