Paul William Atkinson

Paul William Atkinson, age 89, of Plano, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. He was born on July 12, 1923, in Leetonia, Ohio, to the late William and Grace Atkinson. Paul proudly served in the United States Navy on the USS Midway. He was involved with the Hella Shrine Temple and enjoyed being a part of the clown unit there for several years. He was a faithful driver for the Shriners Hospital for 20 years. For 50 years, Paul was a Mason and part of the Scottish Rite. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, to whom he was married 60 wonderful years; son, Bill Atkinson of Nashville, Tennessee; daughter, Peggy Tometich of Plano; and two grandsons, Matt and Greg Tometich, both of Plano. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Custer Road United Methodist Church, 6601 Custer Road, Plano, TX 75023. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2121 Rowlett Road, Garland, TX 75043.
