She was born on May 14, 1928, in Plano, Texas, to the later John & Nola (Holley) Yandell. Nola was a 1946 graduate of Plano High School. Soon after graduation, Nola married Billie Wayne Creed in their home in Plano and went on to spend the next 45 years together. Nola was a devoted wife and a mother. She enjoyed the simple gift of time spent with her family, especially attending youth ball games, water skiing, and camping.
Nola had many jobs over the years but enjoyed her time spent at A.R. Schell Insurance in Plano, where she worked as an insurance specialist. She and others from the church also ministered weekly to nursing homes in Winnsboro with their singing talents. Nola leaves behind a legacy of love for God and family, and she will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
