Mary Helen McQuillen

Mary Helen McQuillen passed away at her home in Plano on October 30. She is survived by her sons James William of Irving and John Thomas of Toronto, Ontario, and her sister, Alice Niemeyer of Oklahoma City. Mary was born in Tulsa on May 24, 1942. She graduated Tulsa University in 1965 and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She worked for Amerada-Hess Corp. in Tulsa, where she met her husband, James D. McQuillen, Jr. (deceased 16 February 2009); they were married May 31, 1974. In 1983 they moved to Plano, where Mary was active at her childrens’ schools and the Collin County Republican Party. She worked at Collin Country Republican Headquarters for many years and was a member of the Conner Harrington Republican Women. The memorial service will be at Ted Dickey Funeral Home in Plano, on Wednesday, November 3 at 2pm. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Conner Harrington Republican Women scholarship fund.
