Mary Rachel Hardin

Mary Rachel Hardin, age 81, of Plano, Texas passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021. She was born September 5, 1939 in Denison, Tx. to Willie Claudia Garrett and Joseph Garrett. She attended Denison High School and graduated in 1957. Mary married her husband Grover Hardin in January, 1957.

Mary loved to square dance and was a member of the Solitaire Square Dance Club. She also loved making quilts and working in the yard on her flowers. She also loved coming up with fun foods to take places.

Mary is survived by her daughters Linda Jolly (Robert) and Paula Severidt; her brother JC Garrett (Candy), 9 grandchildren, Shannon Young, Stephanie and Wesley Severidt, Bonnie and Scott Hardin and Racheal, Hunter, William Hardin and Heidi (Hardin) Martin and 9 great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her sons Ron Hardin and John Hardin; her husband Grover Hardin, her father and mother, Joseph and WIllie Claudia Garrett; her sisters Thelma Jarvis and Onnetta Landers.

A visitation for Mary will be held Thursday, August 12 from 6 to 8:00 PM and the funeral service will be Friday, August 13, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Ted Dickeys Funeral Home, 2128 18th Street, Plano, 75074. The graveside service will be Friday, August 13, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, 5805 Texoma Pkwy, Sherman, TX 75090.
