Maria Eloisa Rodriguez

Maria was born to parents Margarito Gurrola and Christina Murgia on June 5, 1939 in Rio Grande, Zacatecas, Mexico. She grew up the fourth of five children.

Maria married David Rodriguez in 1960, and the couple had seven children. She raised all her children in El Paso, TX.

Maria is survived by her daughters, Birdie McCoy; Ruth Rodriguez; and Margarita Rodriguez; her sons, David; Joel and Jose Rodriguez; her sister Maria Lechon; her grandchildren, Guillermo; Richard; Seth; Maya Quetzali; Yahiza; Crystal; Marie; Obed; Michael; Ruby; Joel; Mellissa; Brian; Vivian; Elizabeth; Guy; Alex; Andrew; Rebecca; Emilio and Kimberly; her great-grandchildren, Alison; Jason; Noah; Angel; Lilly; Olivia; Jazmin; Jayleen; Aiden; Adeline; Isaac; Madeline; Yari; Sophia and Alihana; and her great-great grandchild, Theodore. She is preceded in death by her husband Felix Fraga; her ex-husband, David Rodriguez; her son, Manuel Rodriguez; her parents, Margarito Gurrola and Christina Murgia; her sisters, Elena Mascorro and Nieves Gomez; her brother, Juan Gurrola; and her grandchild, Isaac Mena.

A memorial service will be held at Ted Dickey Funeral Home located in Plano, TX on Thursday July 6th at 2pm, and Friends and family are invited to attend. The burial will take place at the San Antonio National Cemetery at a later date. The family is grateful for the condolences and welcomes pink flowers as that was her favorite color.
