Rose was born January 23, 1934 in Granger, Texas to R. F. Beran and Lydia (Kramitbauer) Beran. She was raised in a loving family in Temple, Texas, where she attended Temple High School, graduating in 1952. She met R. S. Robert on a blind date and they were married on May 15, 1957. Rose and R. S. shared a life of travel and adventure – seeing the sites of Canada, Greece, Mexico, Spain, Norway and several other locations. After the birth of their son Chris, in 1967, Rose and R. S. stayed closer to home, where Rose was active at St Marks Catholic Church and in the Cub Scouts. Upon the death of R.S. in 1987, Rose began a new adventure, starting a career at the engineering firm of HDR. She was a valued employee, winning several awards for superior service and performance. She retired in 2009, and took up traveling once again – to places as near as Las Vegas and as far as Turkey.
She is survived by her son Chris, her sisters Mickee and Doris, and her beloved shih tzus. For those wishing to pay respects or share stories and remembrances, there will be a visitation at Ted Dickey Funeral Home 2128 18th Street, Plano, Texas on Friday, November 23rd from 6pm to 8pm. A family burial will take place in Dickinson, Texas on Monday, November 26th.
