She was born in Nocona, Texas, on October 1, 1932, and grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas.
She attended Baylor University, earning a degree in Education with minors in English and Spanish. While at Baylor, she met and married James Millard Pearson, and they were happily married for 54 years until his passing in 2006.
Lil taught school for over 38 years, and spent the last 34 years of her teaching career at All Saints Episcopal School in Beaumont, Texas. She loved her second grade "Little Dears" and touched so many lives.
After J.M. passed away, Lil married Wynn Beidleman, and they were happily married until her passing.
Lil is survived by her husband, Wynn Beidleman, her mother, Sallie Mae Gray, her daughter Robyn Pearson and her children Justin Lyle and Sara Lyle, her son Gray Pearson and his wife Tammy Pearson, and their children Parker and his wife Faith, Chandler, Kyler, and Foster. With her second marriage, Lil grew to love Blake and Alicia Beidleman and their sons Bo and Tyler, and Rick and Laura Palmer and their children Brett and Jessie.
A memorial service will be held at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Beaumont on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 1:00 PM with a reception following at Broce Hall.
Donations can be made to All Saints Episcopal School in honor of Lillian’s passion for teaching, or to the Alzheimer’s Association to help eliminate the disease that adversely affected her later years.
