Vigil and Rosary will be from 7-8 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Plano, TX.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Saturday, June 1st, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Plano with the Rev. Alec Sheldon of the Diocese of Baton Rouge, LA, officiating. Burial will follow at Plano Mutual cemetery, Plano, TX. Arrangements are by Ted Dickey funeral home.
Leo Norton was born in Philadelphia, PA to Margaret (Dorrian) and Leo Norton Sr. on November, 24, 1945. He went to school at St. Joseph’s Prep in Philadelphia. He attended Temple Law School where he earned a Juris Doctor law degree. He also attended seminary for four years. He married Louise (Genca) on May 22nd 1976 in Lake Worth, FL. Leo had a long career in Federal Law enforcement concluding as the Acting Inspector General for the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission. He was a veteran of the United States Army (Counter Intelligence) and served in Germany for three years. After retirement, Leo was actively involved in his twin passions of reading and volunteering for his Catholic parish of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. He was a Court Appointed Special Advocate for fifteen years and a nursing home, prison and hospital minister for over twenty years.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Sr. and Margaret.
Leo is survived by Louise, wife and Megan, daughter, and many loving family members and friends.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
