Lendon Jerome Smith Jr

Dr. Lendon Jerome Smith "Lindy" was called to be with the Lord while sleeping on the morning of March 2, 2015. He was born on July 3, 1945 to Lendon Sr. and Veda Hazel Smith in Amarillo, Texas. Lendon is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Linda Smith; son, Trace Smith and wife Rebecca, granddaughter Marissa; brother, Keith Crawley and wife Patti; nephew Jason and niece Whitney; and a host of other family and friends. Lendon graduated from West Texas State University in 1970. He proudly served in the United States Navy as a Medical Corpsman for 4 years. He also served in the United States Air Force for 16 years and retired as a Major. Earned several degrees including an Associates degree, Bachelor degree 2 Masters degrees 1 earned from Dallas Theological Seminary. He later earned a Doctorate degree from Tindale Seminary. He then served the Lord as a Pastor for 20 Years. A grave side service for Lendon Smith will be on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 2pm in Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas. A memorial service will be held in Frisco, Texas at Stonebriar Community Church on Thursday, March 19th 2015 at 2PM.
