Juana Hernandez, 74, of Plano, Texas, passed away on September 20, 2024. She was born in Guanajuato, Mexico on March 16, 1950. Juana would come to settle in Texas and make it her home. Over time she became a member of the St. Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church. Juana was known for her crocheting and because of her green thumb there was a good chance you would find her outside gardening.
So often in life we are defined by the legacy we leave behind. Juana is survived by her children Jose Ramon Gomez, Jose D. Gomez, Sara Gomez, Virginia Gomez, and Graciela Gomez. Through her children she will have a legacy that will live on through her 19 grandchildren.
Her heritage will continue to shine through Jeremiah H. Gomez, Quinlen Gomez, Alexis N. Posada, Bruno Posada, Kendra Posado, Zky Posada, Adriana Roberts, Cheyenne Roberts, Dakota Roberts, Francisco Posada, Angel Posada, Jonah Posada, River Posada, Axel Posada, Xidney Posada, Xitlal Posada, Victoria Hernandez, Fernando Vargas, and Julieta Vega. Her memory will also be cherished by her brothers and sisters: Javier Hernandez, Antonio Hernandez, Magi Hernandez, Adela Hernandez, Maria Hernandez, and Andrea Hernandez.
A visitation for Juana will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ted Dickey Funeral Home, 2128 18th Street, Plano, TX 75074. A rosary will occur Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM, 2128 18th St, Plano, Texas 75074. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Saint Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1201 Alma Dr, Plano, TX 75075. A burial committal will occur Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Plano Mutual Cemetery, 2128 18th St, Plano, TX 75074.
