John Kern Thomas

John was born on October 1, 1976 in Medford, Oregon, a son of Jay Kern Thomas and Paula (Sirois) Thomas.

He was preceded in death by his father who is buried at the Plano Mutual Cemetery.

He is survived by his mother: Paula (husband Bob) Cornell of Allen, Texas.

John married Stacey Guy on October 14, 2001. He is survived by his wife Stacey Thomas of McKinney, Texas.

Also are surviving is his son: Jonathan Finley of The Colony, Texas.

He is preceded in death by one daughter: Tabitha Ann Finley who passed away on February 24, 2018 and is also buried at the Plano Mutual Cemetery.

He is survived by two sisters: Aimee (husband David) Hayes of McKinney, Texas and sister Karen Thomas of Dallas, Texas.

His mother in law: Teresa (husband Donald) Miller of Acworth, Georgia.

Two grandchildren: Madison Finley (four months), and Kayson Gilbertson (9 years).

John attended elementary school in Pomeroy, California. He graduated from Plano Senior High School in 1995.

John loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, guns, cars, tools, his children & grandchildren, dogs, and was a wrestler for many years.

A Funeral Service & Celebration of John's life will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 11:30 AM at the Ted Dickey Funeral Home, located at 2128 18th Street, Plano, Texas 75074.

Burial will follow at Plano Mutual Cemetery where John will be laid to rest with other family members.
