John Edward Harris III

John Edward Harris III, age 69, passed away on November 15, 2009 in Plano, TX. He was born on October 4, 1940 in Kansas City, MO to John and Ellen Harris. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Paul Harris. John is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carol Harris; 3 children, David Harris and wife Christine, Brian Harris and wife Bonnie, Glenna Smith and husband Richard; 12 grandchildren, Patrick and wife Ashley, Robert and wife Emma, William, Stephen, Rachel, Amanda, Phillip, Cole, Jessica and Anna Harris, William and Eric Smith; and sister-in-law, June Harris. John was a long time resident of Dallas and worked for Dallas Airmotive. He was a member of IAM and was an avid hunter. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 10:00 am. Graveside Service will be held at Laurel Land at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.
