Frances "Rita" House

Rita was born on January 19, 1918 in Arcadia, Texas, a daughter of Herbert Wilson and Bertha Elizabeth (Jones) Baty.

A reception will follow the memorial service also at the Ted Dickey Funeral Home.

She was born with little means and was often left alone with her sisters Betty Jo and Louise.

She married Joe L. House in 1937 and was happily married to him for 50 years till his death in 1987.

She loved to play golf, garden, and spend time with her family and friends. She took care of so many of her friends as they aged or had to deal with poor health in her longtime home in Galveston, TX.

She loved her family and adored her two adopts sons, Pete Shankle and Joe Gonzales.

She was “Grandma to All” – she loved all of her family especially many grand kids, great grand kids, and many family friends that all called her Grandma Rita.

She will be missed but we know she is in Heaven with all her have passed before her.

A memorial service and celebration of life for Rita will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 4:00 PM at the Ted Dickey Funeral Home, located at 2128 18th Street, Plano, Texas 75074.

A reception will follow the memorial service also at the Ted Dickey Funeral Home.
