Estella P. Garcia

Estella Pena Garcia, age 80, passed away on April 18, 2010 in Plano, TX. She was born on July 25, 1929 in Brackettville, TX to Manuel and Maria Pena. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Caldwell and husband Joe of Allen, Elvia Garcia of Plano, Dolores Munoz of Plano; grandson, Xavier Munoz; sister, Enedina Pena Ortiz of WI; niece, Dora Elia Losoya Rodriguez of WI; cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Trejo, Mr. and Mrs. Robert DeLaCruz and family, Mr. and Mrs. Randy Cremar and family, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Trejo and family, and Eleanor Jasso. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fidel Garcia, daughter, Norma Garcia and brother, Alex Pena. Estella was a devoted wife and mother. She had so much love for her 4 daughters and would do anything for them. She called her grandson, Xavier, her “Piece of Gold”. Estella was trustworthy, had a strong faith and was very spiritual. She enjoyed embroidery and crotcheting. Estella will be dearly missed by her family. Visitation will be held at Ted Dickey Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:00 am on Wednesday. Interment will follow at Plano Mutual Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Association or La Virgen de San Juan Catholic Church, McAllen, TX.
