Elaine Ann Daniel was born on August 18, 1935 in Knoxville, Illinois to Walter and Mary Pont. She married Maurice E. Haptonstall of Galesburg and had two sons, David (Echo) and Terry and grandsons, James and Kyle. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Don Pont. In May, 1974 she started work at TI in the sales office in Ft. Wayne, moved to the sales office in Houston and then to headquarters in Dallas as an administrative assistant, retiring December 31, 1996. After a lifetime of work, boredom sent her back to work this time at Raytheon for several years and then closed out her career at Rockwell. She was a member of the Hunters Glen Baptist Church OWLS Class and was active at the Plano Senior Center. She blossomed there, enjoying cards, dominoes, line dancing, painting, working/painting with wood, flower arrangements, traveling, cooking. Her days at the Senior Center were a joy for Elaine. She was a fighter and had fought cancer for many years until passing on Sunday, February 11. Elaine was at peace with her Lord and was ready to go home to be with her Lord and savior.
A memorial will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Hunters Glen Baptist Church in Plano at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers a contribution to the American Cancer Association would be appreciated.
