Earnest Jack Morrison, age 87, passed away on September 13, 2023 in Plano, TX. He died of a sudden brain injury of unknown cause. He was born in Coahoma, TX on July 17, 1936 to William and Alma Morrison.

A sports enthusiast from an early age, Jack was both quarterback for his small-town football team, and a member of the high school marching band. The uniform changes between game and halftime would surely have been a sight to see! Throughout his life he also enjoyed archery, tennis, racquet ball, water skiing, and golf.
Jack held a variety of jobs. He was a fireman in Big Spring, TX, and a sales representative for Texaco in Midland, and Odessa, TX where he met Margaret, his beloved wife of 55 years. He worked for the Triple A Auto Club in Houston until he ultimately moved to Brazosport, TX to work for Vallen Distribution. He was a Branch Manager there until his retirement. During his work for Vallen he achieved numerous safety awards and supervisory recognition commendations.
Jack and Margaret moved from Lake Jackson to the Plano, Allen, Fairview, TX area to be near their children and grandchildren. With time to devote to golf, they moved into a favorite home at Heritage Ranch Golf and Country Club.
Jack was a happy, kind, and caring man who credits his faith and the church with keeping him centered. He deeply loved his life and his family. A memorial service will be held on October 11th at 3:00pm at Chase Oaks Church, Sloan Creek; 611 Stacy Road, Fairview, TX 75069.
