Don attended Rockwall High school. He enjoyed the outdoors and working with his hands, which led him to a career as a Masters Electrician. For the last decade, he was employed as a construction superintendent for J. F. Jones Construction Company.
For many years, Don spent his week-ends at the lake on whichever boat he owned at the time, the last being christened the ‘Lorna Doone.’ He also enjoyed flying along the back roads on his motorcycle and had several throughout the years.
He is survived by Lorna, his wife of 28 years; step-son Ronnie Stephens and wife Mallerie; step-daughter Sandi Stephens Neal and husband Rob; 10 grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Don was predeceased by his parents, Edwin Alexander Greenlee and Mary Frances Coats, and by his brothers and sister, James, Doug and Mary.
Out of respect to Don’s wishes, we will not be holding services. Though he was a private person, he was an important part of the lives of his family and co-workers. His loss is deeply felt.
The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to the American Heart Association.
