He was born in Harlingen, Texas on January 7, 1944 to Tilghman and Helen Harbin. David is preceded in death by his parents and brother and sister in law, Richard and Eliceia Harbin. He is survived by nephews Lane (Caroline) Harbin of Corpus Christi, Kirk (Christine) Harbin of Lamar and niece Amy (Manuel) Jordan of Excelsior, MN, grand-nieces and nephews Austin, Kelsey, Heather, Manu, Raul, Carlos and Pablo, and too many beloved friends to name.
David graduated from Uvalde High School in 1962. He completed his education at University of North Texas, where he was a member of Delta Sigma Pi, and graduated with his BBA in 1966. David then worked for Covidien Health Care (formerly Kendall) for 31 years, where he was their top salesman many times over, until he retired in 2001. David had a life long passion for golf, through which he cultivated many life long friendships. In retirement, David enjoyed traveling to California, Las Vegas, Banff and Africa with his nephew, Austin. To family, Uncle Dave was the life of the party and a conduit for hilarious antics, which always ended in tears of laughter. His memory among his family and friends is nothing short of legendary.
