Betty Lou Atha Mayfield

Betty Lou Atha Mayfield, age 85, passed away on June 19, 2011 in Plano, TX. She was born on July 23, 1925 in St. Joseph, MO. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dale (Dale)Mayfield, who died in 1959. She is survived by her two sons: Larry Dale Mayfield and wife Donna June Gallagher Mayfield; and Robert Wayne (Bob)Mayfield and wife Betty Jo Inglefield Mayfield; grandchildren: Christopher Dale (Chris) Mayfield and wife Kimberly Alice (Kim) Stidham Mayfield; Rebecca Anne (Becca) Mayfield, Paul Robert Mayfield, and Megan Claire Mayfield; great-granddaughters: Alexis Marie (Lexi) Mayfield and Daniella Nicole(Dani) Mayfield. Her sister Alice Jean (Jean) Atha Janacek and husband Wilbur Janacek gave her two beloved nieces, Jean and Linda, and many great nieces and nephews. Betty was a member of Prime Timers at Resurrection Lutheran Church. She loved chocolate, Coca-Cola, scratch off lottery tickets, and being at our lake house on Bull Shoals in Arkansas. Betty loved family and especially helping to raise her grandchildren. They loved her taking them to movies, Gatti's pizza, and especially being at her apartment for new years eve parties. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed. A Memorial Service will be held at Resurrection Lutheran Church on
