Barbara Ann Bagley, 95, of Plano, Texas, passed away on October 8, 2024. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on November 3, 1928. She was married to DeWitt Talmadge Bagley on November 21,1947. DeWitt passed away on February 15, 2004, and they were married 58 years. They had one daughter, Gail.
Barbara worked for Clinton Public School Systems in Clinton, Missouri. During her tenure she was secretary to the superintendent of high school, bookkeeper for the school district and secretary to superintendent of the school district. She was known for friendliness and a big smile. She retired from the School System in 1988 and moved with her husband to Texas to be near her daughter and her two grandchildren.
After moving to Texas Barbara was actively involved with her grandchildren. She volunteered at the elementary schools as a library aid. She went to all their athletic and school activities.
Barbara liked to read and play cards. During her life she was a member of many different bridge and canasta clubs. She was also a member of Plano Newcomers Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail Gaulding and husband Ernie Quantie, two grandchildren Adam Gaulding and Meagan Gilleland and husband Keith Gilleland, and two great granddaughters, Carson Gilleland and Madison Gilleland. She was preceded in death by her husband, DeWitt Bagley, parents, Wayne and Helen Johnson, sister, Betty Ambrose, brothers Charles Johnson, Pete Johnson and Gregory Johnson.
She will be truly missed by her family and friends. Barbara will be buried at Mount Moriah in Kansas City, Missouri, next to her husband DeWitt.
