Charles Rosina, 91, a longtime resident of Plainview, New York, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 24, 1933, in New York, New York, Charles was the cherished son of Antonio and Josephine Rosina.
He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Barbara Rosina, with whom he shared 59 beautiful years of love and partnership. Together, they built a life filled with warmth and laughter. Charles was a proud father to his three sons, Thomas Rosina (AnnMarie), John Rosina, and Paul Rosina (Felicia). He was affectionately known as "Grand-PAW" to his adored furry grandchildren, Dasher, Vixen, and Licorice.
A proud United States Army veteran, Charles served his country with honor and integrity. He believed that gardening was more than just a hobby; it was a way to connect with nature and find peace. His contributions to both his family and community will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, located at 655 Old Country Road, Plainview, New York 11803. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, 500 S. Oyster Bay Road, Hicksville, New York. Entombment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, New York.
