Will passed away Tuesday morning, 5/17/2011, from heart failure. He was the beloved husband of Dolores “Dee” for the past 6 years and the loving father of Steve (Lynn), Jeff (Karrin), and Greg Sawyer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his first wife Jean; parents, Morris and Olga; twin brother, Hollis; brother, Marvin; and sisters, Ruth and Barbara.
A resident of the Gold County Retirement Community for the past 8 years, who loved the outdoors, woodworking, golfing and traveling with his wife Dee. Will was a mathematics teacher for nearly a quarter of a century, and also a surveyor for the National Forest Service.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Chapel of the Pines, 2855 Cold Springs Rd., Placerville. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association.
