It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Tyler Balaskovits, age 31, on December 26, 2024, leaving behind an immense void in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
Though Tyler’s life was short, he made many achievements and lived every moment of his life to the fullest. Tyler's artistic talent was shown from a young age through his love for drawing, photography, and woodworking. Much of Tyler's spare time was spent outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing, and riding dirt bikes. When Tyler was 19, he joined the seminary at Servants of the Holy Family in Colorado where he spent 2 years studying and living his life through the word of God. In later years, Tyler achieved his General Contractors license and started his company, Balaskovits Building Inc., where he touched the lives of many through his immense number of abilities and talents.
Tyler was a person who radiated warmth, kindness, silliness, and generosity, touching the lives of everyone he met. Tyler was known for his unwavering love of the Lord, his incredible passion, his infectious smile, and his ability to make every moment feel meaningful. His laugh was joyfully contagious, and his blue eyes drew every person to whom he spoke. Whether through his work, friendships, or personal endeavors, Tyler always showed up with a commitment to making the world around him better.
His spirit will live on in the memories shared by family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Tyler was the kind of person who made others feel seen, heard, and valued qualities that will be remembered with love and admiration.
Tyler leaves behind his Mother and Step Father Monica and Tom O’Hara, Father and Step Mother Travis and Tracey Balaskovits, Brother and Sister-in-law Leo and Bailey Soares, Step Sisters Caprice and Morgan O’Hara, his wife Sabrina Balaskovits, Grandparents, Valerie Ferguson, Roger and Janet Hardy, Glen and Margaret Meyers, Daniel and Mary Jane Balaskovits, as well as a vast network of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, friends, and extended family who are all devastated by this loss. In this difficult time, we find comfort in knowing that Tyler is with our Father in heaven and that his memory here with us will continue to be a light and bring joy to all of us who were lucky enough to know him.
A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Parish on January 13th, at 11:00 am. Following the service, guests will attend the funeral reception at the Cameron Park Country Club at 1:00 p.m., where we will gather to celebrate Tyler’s life and share stories of the light he brought to the world.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Women, Infants & Children Program in honor of Tyler Balaskovits.
You will forever be missed, Tyler, but never forgotten.
