Samantha (Sammi/Sam) was the most amazing person anyone could ever meet. She truly never met a stranger because she instantly considered everyone a friend. Sammi was empathetic and understood the significance of giving at a very young age. When she was about 5, while participating in a charity walk in Washington, DC, she stopped to talk to a homeless man and tried to offer him some money that she had in her pocket but the man refused. Sam then offered (and insisted) that he accept the snacks that she had with her. She said "Please sir, I want you to have them....I can get more". No matter how much or how little she had, she was always sharing with others, even if it meant that she would go without. She did this throughout her life.
Sammi loved to travel and has touched lives from the East Coast to the West Coast. At one point in time (in the true hippie spirit that she was) she hitchhiked from Grass Valley, CA all the way to Riverside, CA. Sam was kind to everyone she met. She was small but strong as an ox, resilient, resourceful, fearless, courageous, intelligent, tenacious, colorful, and beautiful on the inside and out (even though she didn't see it).
Sam loved her family unconditionally and absolutely adored her younger sisters, Tatum and Harley. Our family will always have a void in our lives without her here, but the infinite love we have in our hearts for Sam will continue to grow as she is now our guardian angel, watching over us from above; shining a light in the darkness, a whisper of hope when we feel hopeless, strength when we feel weak, a rainbow after a storm, and reminding us to Believe There Is Good In The World!
We love you Sam, to infinity and beyond!
